Life is pretty busy, and you’ve been trying to keep up while figuring out how to live your best life. But, you know something doesn’t feel right. Perhaps you’ve studied a handful of self-help material, or had prior therapy and gained insight. But, you’re still not really enjoying life as much as you want to. You’d like to feel more confident in how to move forward.
My name is Holly, and my life’s vocation is about helping people to get barriers out of their way to a life that feels happier and more fulfilled. I work with people who want to address concerns like anxiety, self-criticism, and past hurt, and those who want to figure out how to feel better about their lives, and themselves. I also work closely with people to assist them in gaining clarity about what they really want, and to connect with their strengths and abilities to make progress in achieving their dreams and important goals.
After working in the field of mental health and wellness for many years in a variety of settings, I decided to open my own office to focus my skills on helping people create meaningful, lasting change. Now with 20 years of experience, I work in private practice as a registered psychotherapist in Ontario (RP), and a Canadian certified counsellor (CCC) with a Masters in Counselling Psychology (McGill University). I’m also a certified trauma specialist, and I help people heal from trauma, PTSD, and difficult life experiences they are having a hard time moving on from. I find it so rewarding to see people step out from the shadow of painful memories and issues into lives that are more empowered, content, and peaceful, and connected to what’s deeply meaningful.
I love spending time in the beautiful and nourishing energy of nature, and traveling when I can to experience the marvels of this world in all its diversity. As a curious person interested in ongoing personal and professional growth, I continue to cultivate my own self-awareness through meditative practices, and to study the healing arts as a lifelong commitment to this work of helping others.
As a person and therapist, I’ve been described as a genuine, and gentle person. I have a kind of strength that isn’t the action hero kind. It’s more like that ‘safe harbour for a ship in a storm’ energy.
I’ve worked with many people over the years, and I know how overwhelming, confusing, and stressful it is to research your options, and how scary and nerve-wracking it can be to make that call to talk to someone like me. I also know how helpful, healing, and transformative it is when you find that somebody you ‘click’ with who will collaborate with you to help you reach those goals that matter so much.
I want you to find that right match in a person who can walk with you on this journey. If you’d like a free 20-minute consultation with me, feel free to reach out. Send me a message, or give me a call. Let’s talk about how I can help you along your path.
